Access and parking
Because of the Innerdorf development, the former one-way section of Eisenburgstrasse in Siebnen has been closed to traffic since August 2025 and is expected to stay closed until the end of 2027. Anyone moving in or out in this area has to plan access differently for the duration of the works.
Waste disposal locally
Schübelbach handles household waste through the ZAM waste association for the March district. A pack of ten refuse sacks costs CHF 12.50 (17 litres), CHF 25.– (35 litres) or CHF 43.– (60 litres); a sheet of six bulky-waste stickers covering 5 kilograms each costs CHF 15.–.
Quarters and districts
Locals in Siebnen distinguish areas such as the Marktplatz, the Kreuz on the Galgenen side and the Kapelle on Bahnhofstrasse, along with the former industrial sites Rüttimann (a one-time furniture factory) and Spinnerei (the former Honegger mill). The western part, beyond the Wägitaler Aa river, belongs to the Galgenen district.

The Innerdorf development is adding a new residential quarter in the centre of Siebnen: five new buildings with 42 rental flats, roughly 700 square metres of commercial space across four units, and an underground car park with 98 car and 6 motorcycle spaces plus 16 visitor spaces.
Clearing duties in detail
According to the Schübelbach municipal works, salt and grit must not be applied to loose fresh snow deeper than 3 centimetres. Property owners are liable for accidents caused by poorly cleared access ways under Art. 58 CO regardless of fault; in rented buildings the landlord is responsible for the shared access ways and the tenant for their own parking space. The municipality does not clear private driveways automatically. That can only be added for a fee and by prior written agreement.
