A move rarely fails on the transport. It fails on everything around it. The lift is not booked, there is no space for the van outside the building, the old flat has to be handed back the same day, and the furniture is expected to be standing again by the evening.

One difference governs the planning. In canton Schwyz every month end is a customary termination date apart from 31 December. In canton Zurich only 31 March, 30 June and 30 September apply. Demand in the Zurich Oberland therefore clusters into three waves a year, and booking early matters considerably more there. For canton St. Gallen, and with it the Wil area, no single customary date could be established, so there we work from whatever the tenancy agreement says.
